Ellē, rooted in Montana’s Rocky Mountains, is a curious educator, artist, and river guide. After earning a B.F.A in Graphic Design, she has worked and explored globally. Inspired by the perspective-altering power of cultural exchange, Ellē’s teaching experiences include Environmental Science and Literature in Southern Africa and kayaking instruction in Patagonia. In summer, she migrates to Idaho’s river corridors as a multi-day river guide.

Her art, combining creative writing, screenprinting, illustration, and photography, explores ecological themes and systems of power. Ellē’s artwork serves to translate the vivacity, playfulness, diversity, and creativity of the natural world. At the heart center, her work’s message is that “You are of this earth!” Through visualizing interconnected ecological systems and imagining the personalities of non-human beings, her work honors the wonder of being part of our living landscapes. She loves creating repeating textile patterns, expressive murals, and grooves on the handpan drum.
